Popham 26th May Andover Strut LAA Fly-In!

Blue Skies but a distinct lack of visitors at Popham for the Andover Strut Light Aircraft Association Fly-In!

Not sure why, possible confusion over the date of the event, but hope that things improve for the Vans Aircraft Fly-In on the 9th June!!

The weather was excellent, all I can think is that confusion over the date put some people off

A nice set of photos. I am a regular attendee at the Popham fly-ins - by road I should say - and I have been getting the impression for the last two seasons that visitors are declining.

I was going to say hello when you arrived but you'd vanished by the time I had got to G-ARFO!!

When I looked at the Webcam on Monday Lunchtime only a regular PA-17 was visible!!

I think in general the number of aircraft attending fly-ins has declined, maybe down to the number of events taking place, cost of fuel, recession etc but hopefully things will change in the near future!!

The next fly-in at Popham (the RV fly-in) is usually well attended (weather permitting) so hopefully lots of Vans owners will make the effort!
