Jason, I think you can take it as read all the RAF displays will be at both Cosford and Fairford !
Even if we wish some of them might not!

I wonder if we'll see a Chinook demo this year? IIRC the only public display they managed last season was Bournemouth (plus a few RAF Families Days)

You recall incorrectly. The Chinook Display Team also performed at Guernsey and Jersey.

There is a Chinook Display Team for 2022. JHC yet to confirm to which displays the Chinook will be allocated

You may be surprised actually. 2019 had 5 (2 x ALCA, Gripen, F/A-18 and Typhoon): 2018 had 4 (MiG-29, F-16, Rafale and Typhoon). We're 3 so far this time but I have to say how pleasantly surprised I am by the international participation up to now. And of course there may be more to come.

I think the last couple of years we have definitely been spoiled by some top draw displays.P3 ,Italian tonka, NZ 757, Mig 29.
Most of these would have been star assets at RIAT but only went to cosford. Its going to be tough on the team to pull in amazing almost 1 off displays every year.
This is also the first display that Peter isn't 'directing?' the show. Let's hope there is someone who is as good as convincing air arms as he is running the show... im still amazed that he got the P3😂

I think counting ALCAs as a fast jet display is pushing the boundaries a bit!

Well, you know, they sort of are. Small, single seat, operational. Funnily enough I probably wouldn't try to push it to an L-159 trainer. :-)

Feels a bit desperate to announce each RAF display item one-by-one rather than in a big update, IMHO.
Haven't Cosford always done it this way? Although I could be completely wrong, feels like a long time with the last couple of cancellations.

I'm hoping we get Rich Goodwin at Cosford in his new Jet Pitts. Not seen it yet. Always a great display.

Probably because it hasn’t flown as a jet

Superb addition - the Rafale within the confines of a smaller airfield really comes into its own.

I think the French Rafale is one of the best solo display fast jet performances on the circuit (well, at least it was to me prior to Covid). Always time for a Rafale for me :)

Tres Biens.

Unlikely due to the Rafale already being confirmed (i'm assuming that'd be the french allocation used up) but, I wonder if theres a possibility of them being in attendance at Cosford? It seems such a shame that they won't be seen (unless you live in France) before they're gone!
