Anyway, a week today I will be on the road to Fairford, with cameras at the ready, floppy hat dusted down and four days worth of sandwiches in the cool box.
BBQ for breakfast, dinner and tea for 4 days here (Translation for Southerners: Lunch and Dinner).
Good Lord, when do you take supper my dear old chap?

Have to say compared to other e-mails of aircraft at the show, last night's seemed a bit, oops I better send this before I go home.
Makes you wonder why they didn't just cut and paste the website text with a nice pretty picture. Additional effort for something not as good.
Exactly this. The website had everything perfect, the e-mail abridged and ignorant, and 8 hours later, just odd.

When the Swedes arrive on the Friday I hope when they break to land they apply some burner, or would that be a no no?

When does the full Friday flying programme get revealed?

Never been on the Friday before, I've seen some say we should know before the event, and some saying we find out on the day via the official programme.

If I recall correctly, the first time we find out is normally the Wednesday if you buy a programme from P&V. Of course, that may be subject to change if there are any late additions/cancellations.

Whether it's allowed in the regulations I don't know, but a break to land is done to slow the aircraft and applying afterburner would have the opposite effect, so I'd suggest it won't happen!

The couple of times I saw them at Waddington arrivals they were 'straight in to land', not even a run & break....don't know about what happened when they were static at Scampton.

Thanks Cg!

& perhaps because they were displaying over the weekend they wasn't requested to/feel the need to?

Would it be possible for somebody to post the flying display program times for each day on here so the single-dayers like m. I can then plan beforehand - as has been said, it's a lot to get round in a day but most of what I am interested in around the static area can be seen during 'calm' sections to the flying display.

They also arrived individually at Waddington, not as a formation.

Bobby1211…..Copied from an e-mail I received yesterday…… The flying display will take place from 10:00am until 6:00pm (11:00am until 3:00pm Friday). Hopefully an idea of the flying display times.

Could be wrong but I vaguely remember them having little badges like they do with flying, static and visitor on the aircraft listings page. I don't think we've waited so long in the past to see the Friday flying.

Looks like the flying on the weekend will start at 10am then and not 9:45am as mentioned on their website.

I would still go with 0945. Email could be copy/paste from previous year.

There's been quite a bit of inconsistency in communication this year from the organisers. Some good such as the updates on this website from Air Ops and ATC but also some confusing such as the timings. With less than a week to go we still don't know the full line up of what's flying on Friday other than the Black Eagles (+ a few others) and with Friday being billed as a highlights day, there's an awful lot of my highlights not flying (F35, B52, Osprey, Belgian F16, Beluga). Perhaps 'preview' would have been a better word to descibe the Friday flying? Lets hope for a bit more solid information in the coming days.

I'm literally walking round my house thinking there only 4 days to go (when i head down) like I'm a 7 year old boy again excited about Christmas.

An exceptional job by the Air show team this year (IMO) due to the current state of the world with everything happening. Literally something for everyone. Display Teams coming from the other side of the world that pleases the families and enthusiasts this time , Fast jets for the Fast jet fans, Absolute best helo displays we could ask for from Europe and also some of the absolute rare stand out item they've managed to pull on static.

Literally cannot wait for my return, its been 4 years for me. Hope everyone has an amazing time.

Excuse my ignorance, its been over 5 years since I last attended. Do they release a schedule of what time certain aircraft/teams are flying at each day. There will be so many highlights for me I will literally need to schedule when I run to the toilet.

Thanks
