I have just read that there is a major free upgrade arriving in November to mark the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Aside from a number of new aircraft including a study level A310 there will also be official support for helicopters and gliders.

Can also add the Curtiss Jenny to that list. Missions, that were in FSX are coming as well as a number of classic airports from the series. For free, as long as you hold a copy of FS2020, it's a massively impressive.
