I'd be interested to see what others think will be the eventual fate of XH558. Not where she might go - that's been discussed in plenty of detail on the other thread - but in what way she'll leave (or not) Doncaster in the future.
You can comment if you want but that's not really the point of the thread (there's another one for that as we all know).
What will happen to XH558?

Other - broken up and sold off in components for people to buy and thus provide income for the forthcoming "Save the Canberra" project.......... (yes it has a Canberra too!).

Other, scrapped and handled as scrap by the scrap(wo)man.

Other.
Much as above, useful sections harvested, the core of the airframe broken up on site, same for Canberra.
First one as unlikely as the ferry flight. If not removed by owners, an estates manager will arrange for its removal, scrap value to cover costs, any excess used for any outstanding invoices, remainder (if any), passed to owner. Business is business.

Add me to that list. Considering the high likelihood of this eventuality, the omission of 'Scrapped on Site' from the OP's list looks like gross over-optimism....K5054NZ wrote: ↑Mon 05 Sep 2022, 10:48 pmThat was my vote and rationale too.aviodromefriend wrote: ↑Mon 05 Sep 2022, 6:55 amOther, scrapped and handled as scrap by the scrap(wo)man.
