I’ve already got everything crossed for the Spanish Matador, words can’t express how happy I would be to see a Harrier in Yeovilton skies again. Let’s get the F35 down aswell and get a flypast together. I’d lose my stuff.

It would appear that the photographer's seats in the Lynx enclosure have now sold out. Personally, I think that limiting these spaces is an error. £75 is hard to justify for a single day when you get 6 days for £210 at RIAT, but the onsite parking was great and I would have liked to use that again. I feel that I purchased my ticket much later in the season last year, when a lot more about participants was known.

It is bonkers - it means you cant use a telephoto lens in the rest of the grandstand. :dizzy:

What's really bonkers is that a lot of people in that area of the grandstand will not even be photographers - they will just be with photographers. Still, this is a symptom of the really unpleasant selfish behaviour that you sometimes get in the FRIAT enclosure where photography seems to come before everything else... I mean, God forbid somebody would actually want to just watch the airshow!

Anyone seen Team Daedalus before? What were your opinions? How does it compare with, for example, the Tucano demo?

I saw it at Malta in 2015(?) Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it but that may have been because of the novelty value. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing it again though.

I thought the French Navy would have confirmed something by now?

They confirmed very early last year but in 2017 it wasn’t until May so plenty of time yet.

Belgian Alouette on static... against all my better judgements, I am finding this exciting.

The poster is out and it looks great imho.

Interestingly, it has an F-35 front and centre. Fingers crossed

What, that it fails to turn up and spoil the show?

They have said that "A full scale replica of the aircraft has been confirmed for static display and an announcement will be made if we have any further participation news", so definitely one confirmed - kind of. Sign of the times that the RAF & RN quite possibly can't even demo their current and future prime front line aircraft.

Nice poster anyway. Take note RIAT.

It is a proper, cracking airshow poster--makes RIATs look like a really dull advert you get in gaming or tech mags. Even if they are flying very low over the (rather sparse) crowd!! :hide:

Absolutely right. Yeovilton is one of the few airshows that still makes a proper poster! (And these things do matter!)
