Shuttleworth July Evening Show

Post by Aviation Highlights »

The Shuttleworth Collection has listed on their website another evening airshow, for Saturday 20th July. Nothing confirmed to fly yet though.

Will be attending again this year.

Static only according to their website.

Shuttleworth website says flying will start earlier at 5:30 rather than 6.

I do enjoy an evening show, and was hoping to make one this year, but I’m not sure that list would entice me even if the skies were clear all day long. Disappointing.

Excellent lineup, I'm really looking forward to this one.

The chance to see rarities like the Shoestring and Moth Minor (I can't remember the last time I saw one of those in the air), and the Cosmic Wind is always a joy to see being put through its paces. With the three OW-based racers too, it looks to have the potential to be a great little show if the weather plays ball.

Shoestring now replaced by a Cassutt due to 'ongoing technical issues'.

Surely a budget issue?

You've got it Caper! Due to some confusion, the Engineers repaired the Cassutt for £8.50 instead of working on a Shoestring?

This is the first Shuttleworth line up this year I'm not that impressed by. Just not much on it to look forward to personally.

The Moth Minor has dropped off the list too.

I probably shouldn't mention that I'm really looking forward to seeing the Wren again, after its astonishing post-restoration debut recently. That will probably be the kiss of death for its appearance too.
