I'd suggest the chances of the Spitfire PR XI appearing are slim after its mishap, unless we're talking about Teichman's example.

A couple of interesting things there, but as a whole the lineup isn't very appealing for me.

Feels very similar to last year to me not a lot of difference!

Some real gems on there! Race Day's always been one of my favourite airshows of the year - the line-up is very much geared towards the lighter vintage, 1920s-'30s enthusiasts (the best people) and has always been a fine end to the season.

Three Compers, three Chiltons, Puss Moth and the Falcon are worth it for me.

...not to mention a nice selection of cars and bikes, including the wonderful Napier Railton from Brooklands, taking part in the sprint along the main runway

This particular event is a very smart marketing move by The collection, as it also attracts the car and bike owners and enthusiasts at the end of their vintage racing season as well as the traditional aviation crowd.

I'm not complaining about the line up in terms of quality as i agree there is some great stuff in there, just my reaction when i looked at it that it was very similar to last year! I'll be there as long as it dry and not too windy!

Not to mention, what other airshows do we have to choose from in October? (November, December etc etc)

So whilst some of the aircraft are not necessarily my favoured era, it will be a long old wait until next May.

Seems odd. Someone got the wrong end of the stick when they were asked to add a Spartan [Executive] to the list? :dunno:

No indication of the operator? Most intriguing.

The RSV display would be most welcome.

I presume there must be a company demo aircraft about somewhere?

Well it's dropped off the list already. Perhaps it was meant to be the Executive

I'm a little surprised not to see a final flying list for Sunday by now.

Unfortunately the forecast does look as though it is rather like it might all be irrelevant.

That's a shame, I was looking forward to seeing it do a water landing on Sunday.

Latest weather forecast is the worst ever! Surprised it's not cancelled, as they can't charge if nothing flies surely?

The narrative light rain showers and a gentle breeze  is a little different to their weather map showing an enormous chunk of slow moving heavy rain covering most of England. :hide: :ninja:

Of course they can using the caveat "serviceability and weather permitting", like any other airshow. Besides, there is more to the event than just the flying.
Unless Shuttleworth specifically say the event is cancelled there will be an event of sorts on Sunday.
It may not be the show they wanted to put on, or the show you wanted it to be but that's the luck of the draw.

As this event is most unlikely to be a sell-out I reserve the opportunity of waiting until the last minute before committing to buying tickets.
See the final list, see the latest cancellations, see the latest dire weather forecast, notice the list didn't quicken my pulse at all, defer the expense & experience for another year. Sorted!
Almost ironic that a year plagued by poor weather at UK events ( & several European!) gets another beating at the final show to consign the 2019 Air-show season firmly to the trash-bin. :tumbleweed:

i am still trying to decide. literally going to leave it until just before midnight to make a decision.

the weather is saying rain is 50/60% for the period during the show... not sure i can sit through another wet air show lol
