US Navy P-8 might be a no-show at this rate...

Oh well that’s 2 big stars of the show gone out of the window. The USAF must be a little embarrassed, after all this is a Royal event! Although just a couple of flypasts were due it will still be a bit of a gap in the programme.

Before I make the journey tomorrow. Did anyone have any luck buying tickets on the gate this morning? Also how much were the tickets?

Thanks
My dad purchased one at P&V West. £20. Asked about one for tomorrow but was advised to purchase on the gate. Plenty of room in West today.

Do they accept card or is it cash only? Sorry for all the questions

Only B-52'S that we know about , P-8 hasn't arrived yet but its early days may end up being tomorrow or friday , arrivals are a general guideline but last minute things do pop up

Even if it doesn't show its not the end of the world , not with doomsday E-4 coming ;-)

They actually tried to squeeze the F-35B flypast while the B-52 repositioned for its second flyby :D That most likely means there will be no gap in the flying display.
Also nice to see the Beluga doing a flypast with the Reds

Looking at the Friday program it seems The Blades are doing a full display. Silver Swallows are also down to display (website shows weekend display only) and the NATO E-3A flypast must have been added last min.

Switched on PlanesTV and was fast-forwarding between the times with no aircraft, saw Harriers and got excited, only to realise they were showing a replay of their 2019 appearence. lol

One was out on engine test yesterday morning without an engine cover so not too sure

Seems the SAAB SK.60 has cancelled. Not sure if its for the whole show or just for the arrival today.

That's a good schedule for Saturday, nothing I'm especially bothered about late afternoon so can probably leave mid afternoon and save a big wait for the Swindon bus

I don't recall the Sat and Sun displays being in identical order before - as they seem to be this year. Not a criticism at all, but an observation.

Works for me the schedule (if it sticks). A couple displays that I prefer watching rather than photographing over the lunch period. Normally I end up missing something due to lunch or the other way around
Check out my instagram www.instagram.com/a3w1301 for photos. Seem to post a lot over there 🤷‍♂️

I think in past years some people moaned the 2 days were so different, so now the organisers want to do them as identical as poss, and I totally understand that!

*Pinch of salt mode activated*

Somebody on the Planes TV YT live feed claims to have family based at Whiteman and reckons there is a surprise flypast planned for 4:30pm Sunday.

I tapped out at 1430, just got back to the car as the qinetiq 146 arrived. Too warm for me! 6 hours and got thru 4 litres of drink.
