Re: BigClick67's Kodachrome memories (updated 18th Aug.)
Hi all!
After a longer break I restart this post with a set of Swiss F-5E/F Tigers that I photographed during several visits to Payerne in the summer of 2005. At that time there were no fences around the base and access was ridiculously easy. The runway has a public road crossing in the middle and driving across the runway was a very cool experience.
#696 F-5E J-3001 22 May 2005
#697 F-5F J-3211 was one of several ECM-configured jets in the Swiss Tiger fleet, 28 June 2005:
#698 F-5E J-3008 with Fliegerstaffel 19-badge, dayglo sidewinders and belly tank, 28 June 2005:
#699 F-5E J-3070 on take-off - the F-5 has a strange gear retraction phase with the main gear going in first while the nose wheel is still down. Looks odd… 28 June 2005:
#700 F-5E J-3008 with Fligerstaffel 8-badge on the nose, taxying out for take-off with its canopy cranked open, 22 June 2005:
#701 F-5E J-3063 taxying back to the ramp after a mission, 28 June 2005
#702 same jet on the way out for take-off, 22 June 2005
#703 F-5E J-3047 on finals RWY05, 22 June 2005:
#704 F-5E J-3094 with Flugplatzabteilung 3-badge landing, 22 June 2005:
#705 F-5E J-3077 taxying, 22 June 2005:
#706 F-5F J-3201 June 2005 on finals, 22 June 2005
#707 F-5F J-3209 taxying, 16 June 2005:
That’s it for now, more to follow soon.
Cheers for looking!

Hi guys!
Here comes a selection of French Navy aircraft. Most of these are history by now, with only the Atlantique 2 and the Falcon 50SURMAR still being active with the Aeronavale. Nevertheless the F-8E(FN) ‚CRUZ‘ and the ’SUE’ were iconic Cold War warriors that were always a delight to witness.
#743 F-8E(FN) Crusader #34 12.Flotille BAN Landivisiau - here on take-off during RIAT’99:
#744 to #747 Crusaders #34 and #39 were part of the fantastic Spotters day at Kleine-Brogel in November 1999. The unforgettable sight and sound of 2 German Phantoms with 2 Italian TF-104s howling in the circuit with 2 Crusaders, a Mirage IVP and a Canberra PR.9 in the static display were just amazing!
#748 F-8E(FN) #39 12.F - landing roll during RIAT’99:
From Crusaders to Etendarts…
#749 Super Etendart #16 from 14.Flotille, still in the original camo scheme - Leeuwarden airshow 1990:
#750 & #751 Super Etendart Ms (SEMs) #30 and #38 from 17. & 11.Flotille - Kleine-Brogel Spotters Day 30 July 2005:
#752 SEM #41 from tiger unit 11.Flotille - seen here on finals at Lechfeld during NTM’98:
#753 SEM #32 is another tiger-marked jet from 11.F - RIAT’99:
#754 SEM #14 17.F with Damocles laser pod on the centre line station - Kleine-Brogel Spotters Day 20 Oct. 2000:
#755 SEM #4 11.F with Damocles LDP and a rare AS.30-missile under the right wing - arriving for RIAT’05 together with…
#756 SEM #47 11.F with a practice AM39 ’Exocet’ anti-ship missile under its right wing - RIAT’05:
#757 Falcon 50 SURMAR #30 from 24.Flotille - also RIAT’05:
#758 Atlantique 2 #26 23.Flotille - RIAT’99:
#759 SA.321 Super Frelon #118 32.Flotille - landing at Fairford for RIAT’02:
C’est tout - merci beaucoup de votre interet!
