Was it ZD464 that ditched at a seafront airshow?

Yes, that's the one. And as far as I know it was brought back to flying condition! Amazing!
Re: BigClick67's Kodachrome memories (updated 1st Sept.)
ZD464 was written off on the 2nd August 2002.

Thanks for your comment! Looks like I've got something wrong here: my photo #524 was taken during RIAT'02 and not RIAT'03, as given in the description. Sorry about the mix-up - over all those years all the RIATs seem to blend into one another with a few exceptions of course... And then the written-off date of 2nd Aug. 2002 makes a lot of sense as it is the day when the aircraft ditched into the sea during the Lowestoft airshow (according to the source below). And yes, it hasn't been brought back to flying condition afterwards as I am writing, too. That's also rubbish - apologies

Re: BigClick67's Kodachrome memories (updated 17th Oct)
Hi folks!
On October 14, 2017 I kicked off this thread with the intention of posting just a couple of sets of nice slides. Meanwhile a whole year and 569 images in 42 posts have passed and I am delighted to read a 30.000+ views and dozens of great replies from you. Thank you!
No, I am not done yet. There is still lots of stuff that I intend to share over the coming months so please keep on klicking this place and let me have your C&C.
As an Anniversary Special here comes a set of photos that I have taken onboard CVN-68 / USS Nimitz during its visit to Wilhelmshaven/West Germany in September 1986. Embarked was CVW-8 with the most famous Tomcat squadron of all - VF-84 JOLLY ROGERS. Remember, the TOPGUN movie was at No.1 at that time and almost every kid in town wanted to get onboard and feel the need for speed… Somehow I managed to be one of the lucky folks to win a tour and these slides are pretty much the best I achieved on that day, as it was really difficult to snap a few good ones with all the people and the equipment and a 35mm lens and crappy light. I hope they are of interest.
#570 USS Nimitz anchored in front of Wilhelmshaven Naval base. While taking this photo there was a lot of action overhead with all kinds of fast jets passing over the carrier: German Alpha Jets, F-104s, Phantoms, Dutch NF-5s, Belgian Mirage Vs, British Jags and Phantoms, and more, all trying to take their photo over the Nimitz. Incredible!

This is still one of, if not the best photo thread on the internet!
I'm a bit surprised that the USN were well on their way to being lo-vis by 1986 (but I'm not an expert on the US Navy). The hi-vis gull grey and insignia white scheme was beautiful. The lo-vis TPS not so much.

Re: BigClick67's Kodachrome memories (updated 17th Nov.)
#605 A bit off-topic from the following set of Tornados but I couldn’t resist to post this one here: The Leuchars ramp on a typical afternoon in July 1989, with a No.360 Sqn Canberra taxying in in front of Lakenheath F-111Fs, Alconbury A-10s and a row of No.228 OCU Phantoms. Those were the days…
Tears wiped away, let’s plunge into a selection of Tornados from various operators.
#606 Tornado ECR 46+54 JaBoG 32 from Lechfeld - NTM’04 at Schleswig:
#607 an early shot of Lechfeld-based JaBoG 32 Tornado ECR 46+34 still in the original green camo - Bierset airshow 26th Sept., 1993:
#608 Tornado IDS 45+91 AG 51 - taxying out for departure at its homebase in a fresh grey camo - Schleswig 6th Sept., 1999:
#609 Tornado ECR 46+27 from JaBoG 32 at Lechfeld, note the EG 1-badge on the intake indicating participation in Op Allied Force in 1999 - Lechfeld, NTM’98:
#610 Tornado IDS 43+96 AG 51 at Schleswig - the NTM’04 special bird:
#611 Tornado IDS 43+46 AG 51 - an ex-Navy example still wearing the maritime camo NORM87 - on take-off at Schleswig on 6th Sept., 1999:
#612 Tornado IDS 46+12 Marinefliegergeschwader 2 at Eggebek - on take-off from Eggebek during BaltOps 2002:
#613 Tornado IDS 43+79 AG 51 from Schleswig - departing Eggebek during CLEAN HUNTER 2000:
#614 Tornado IDS 45+66 from Eggebek-based MFG2 - seen here taxying out for take-off on 2nd Aug., 1990:
#615 Tornado IDS 46+20 MFG2 - on finals at Leeuwarden 21st July, 1997:
#616 Tornado IDS 45+45 MFG2 - awaiting its turn for a solo display during the 1999 Koksijde airshow:
#617 Tornado IDS MM7002(6-10) from 6°Stormo, 154°Gruppo at Ghedi - on take-off from Schleswig 6th Sept., 1999:
#618 Tornado IDS CMX7049(RS-01) Reparto Sperimentale Volo at Pratica di Mare - landing at Gilze-Rijen during the 2002 KLu Open Dag:
saving up the best for last:
#619 Tornado F.3 ZE736(WB) No.56 Squadron, the ‚Firebirds‘ display ship for the 2005 airshow season - seen here in aerodynamical braking during RIAT’05:

Re: BigClick67's Kodachrome memories (updated 18th Dec.)
I always had a soft spot for Swedish hardware, and especially the mighty Viggen in its charismatic ‚splinter camo‘. In September 1999 a trio of these jets visited Schleswig air base for a Partnership-For-Peace exercise in which the recce experts of Schleswig-based AG 51 welcomed their collegues from F10 at Ängelholm on the other side of the Baltic Sea.
#637 to #639 AJS-37 Viggen 37033/05 F10 Ängelholm - Schleswig 6th Sept., 1999:
#638
#639
#640 & #641 Sk-37 37817/69 with F15-markings/Söderhamn, but on loan to F10 Ängelholm - Schleswig 6th Sept., 1999:
#641
#642 to #645 AJSF-37 37976/38 F10 Ängelholm - Schleswig, 6th Sept., 1999:
#643
#644
#645
Another chance to see the Viggen in action was the RIAT, of course, in this particular case RIAT'99 where the air defence variant JA-37DI was part of the flying display:
#646 to #648 JA-37DI 37417/17 F17 Rönneby - RIAT’99:
#647
#648
Thanks for looking everyone and for following this thread for so long! More to follow in the new year - Merry Christmas!
Cheers, Chris

Re: BigClick67's Kodachrome memories (updated 18th Dec.)
Some great studies of the mighty Viggen, must be an illusion created by the shadow but how close to the tarmac is the centreline tank in photo 643!
