Northolt Nightshoot XXVI & The Sir Keith Park Operations Building

Post by xkekeith »

The last RAF Northolt Nightshoot was number XXVI on 14 March 2019 with the event scheduled for March 2020 cancelled due to COVID.

As many will know the events were run to raise funds for the restoration of Building 27 at RAF Northolt. Building 27 was built in 1928/9 and became RAF Northolt's Sector Operations Building, part of the Dowding system of Air Defence. Between 1936 and 1939 ACM Hugh Dowding used the building to develop what was to become the world's first Integrated Air Defence System.

To replace the funding from the lack of Nighshoots an appeal has been launched, it can be found here for those interested: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding ... 59vP27hHV8

Here are a few of my photo's from Nightshoot XXVI
