Not really, it means there very likely will be static assets. It doesn't really mean anything about flying ones.

A nice lump of RAF training aircraft for the theme! Liking the Omani C295MPA & every airshow should have a P-51 Mustang at it in some capacity IMO

Never seen the French PC-21 role demo so all good there too & no cancels yet....

Australians declined :(

Slightly cryptic mention of USAF assets for static but no mention of flying ones?

Update get the thumbs up from me, not one for the jet lovers but three aircraft I will have seen for the first time with those air arms. P-51 is good as its looks like its coming from Germany?

Obviously hoping the Hungarian Air Force can make it, but the last time they actually turned up with confirmed aircraft was 2014.....cancelled participation in 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2019. So they're kind of like the NATO E-3....believe it when it arrives.
2019 - Airbus A319

Edit - Just remembered this didn't hang around!
No point, the airshow was already over, the Falcon 7X pre-show the same year didn't stop either!

Francess Dell is a nice looking Mustang,

Another nice update especially with the Oman Persuader and Mustang X-Ray.

Just wondering if the team are waiting to announce flyers / static of the USAF all together rather than in dribs and drabs.

A bit of a stretch saying the Omanis are bringing a new type, a different variant yes, but not type. Pedant hat on. Transport ones are nicer anyhow. Hard hat on.

A variant debut regardless of nation, no less. Surely better than the transport variant from a nation we’ve seen more than once before, no?

Brazilian KC-390, Romanian An30, Lithuanian Dauphin, Omani CASA 295MPA, Hungarian Mi24s, German A340, even French PC-21s - all UK airshow firsts - bland?

Hard to please some people.

The Omani Persuader is a cracking addition. That's going to be very cool.

No, not more than once.
It would have been had it not been the MPA this time. Perhaps worded badly. In any case, the point stands.

I mean, you only have to look at the response from literally everyone else to the MPA to know you’re in the minority, Paul.

I stopped reading after 'proper flying'. I have no idea what that means.

If you lower your expectations, each update is a surprise

Not every update is going to be Israeli F15's and Venezuelan Flankers!

A minority of what exactly?

Desert camo transport version is better looking than yet another grey CASA - Finland, Spain, Malaysia, Turkey, Portugal etc. That is fact.

An Omani CASA has only appeared once before. That is also fact.

The MPA variant is a debut from Oman. That is also a fact, and its a worthy contribution, as everyone, including me (check the post above regarding bland updates), has agreed upon.

Not sure where the "minority" report comes in? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

In contrast you have said the Omani transport had appeared more than once, not true, and its the debut of the MPA variant, regardless of nation, also not true, Portugal have brought the variant before.

I put that into Google & it suggests "Somebody should proof-read this s**t before it gets issued!"
The closest match was "You'll be chucked-out of the exhibition if you climb up on the display cases!"
