The air force will be performing “essential training” in the region this afternoon.
The Royal Air Force will be carrying out “essential training” over the skies above Edinburgh this afternoon, it has announced.
A C-17 - a military plane designed by Boeing - will fly over Edinburgh, Newcastle and Birmingham as part of the crew’s training mission.
Based in Oxfordshire at RAF Brize Norton, the RAF’s largest air base, the C-17 was developed to perform strategic airlifts, and transporting troops.
I saw the plane fly by my house and take off again

Saw the same aircraft yesterday it was circling above my house twice before coming in to land.

It was a Airbus A400M yesterday, not a C-17.Euan Buchan wrote: ↑Sun 12 Jul 2020, 6:54 amSaw the same aircraft yesterday it was circling above my house twice before coming in to land.
