A black aeroplane over Corby - any ideas

Post by iainpeden »

My wife tells me she saw a low flying black a/c with 4 things hanging under the wings at about 10.50 over the southern part of Corby; it was probably flying north/south.

She knows it wasn't a herc. - no more clues I'm afraid but she would like to know what she saw.

Good luck

Was it a jet or prop aircraft? At the moment i'm thinking it was either a Typhoon or Tornado.

It could have been the BBMF Lancaster heading south for the commemorative service at the Air Forces Memorial at Runnymede.

BBMF Lancaster flew over St Neots in Cambridgeshire this morning heading north. Your wife may have also seen her.

Thanks - she has now looked at Lancaster pictures and is pretty sure that is what she saw.
