Post by Paul H »

About 30 minutes ago overhead Bicester, high 5-6K feet heading West what appeared to be an A330 (Air Tanker ?) with an escort of maybe 5 -6 aircraft , seemed straight winged (Tucano ?) any body else see it, nothing on FR24.

If they heading roughly South West it would be 5 Idaho ANG A-10s going back to the US, with a KC-10A tanker support, but they were around FL150-190

Was all ready to wade in with a sarcastic comment, but the OSRA 727 and Blades (Extras) have been knocking about together recently, I believe...?

Apologies for the delay in replying but thanks for info, really must get out more with the binoculars & spotters book, afraid was looking after Grandson when they went over so it was a bit fraught, but glad to have seen them, again thanks, B Rgds, PH.
