Exactly. They don't appear out of nowhere.

As I say, he's clarified his post and he said he was talking to a Raptor pilot - they send more than just those ferrying the jets.

Nah, they're stelfs, bruv. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

I haven't really done a decent job looking around different sources yet, which I will do, but as I'm now only in Cardiff and FFD is relatively accessible to me, if anyone gets any more info on the B-1B(s), it would be gratefully received.

Also need to learn myself how to read NOTAMs properly, but for a couple of obvious bits, it's all foreign at the moment...

Movements might be expected at Fairford mid-morning. Based off track AR-20NE being active roughly now off the US NE coast.

There is something due in LN late this afternoon, an ALTRV is posted for a routing coming in over Scotland.

This is either Raptors or more SJ Eagles. It’s a case of wait and see.

Reports are broken however the aircraft currently being reported to be in AR-20NE is an RC-135 not the expected Bones.

Going to be a waiting game it seems.

Three tankers according to FC? Weather is perfect, but decided not to go last night as there was no firm info and LN typically only fly a half day on Fridays.

Just need to cross fingers for some good weather once they're here and flying.

Looks like CLEAN 83 is finally on it's way, heading NNE ( routing via St Johns ? )
No sign of any other CLEAN flights.

Still no Fairford NOTAM, so the spotters are probably now heading for Lakenheath.

Even if you did you'd be confused, as there's currently three different deployments all being discussed as if they are one!

Or to be more precise, Lakenheath & Fairford deployments being discussed on this thread to save opening multiple threads, as those of us discussing them know they're different.

Oh, and still no Fairford NOTAM

Edited to add.....
CLEAN 83 now heading Southwest abeam Nova Scotia -- RTB ?

Tabor are the remaining SJ F-15Es anyway aren't they?

What is CLEAN08 bringing back with it? Departed Mildenhall on a round trip down to the Mediterranean Sea.

Thanks. Not fussed about them then.

I had a visit pencilled in for yesterday but scrubbed to see if anything is going to be on exercise in the next two weeks instead, given all the rumours. Hope I didn't waste a sunny day for no reason.

RTB declaring an emergency - got down safely.

(from FC) Vibration in the climb and couldn't maintain level flight. An Eagle, Typhoon and Tornado performed a visual check identifying an open/flapping panel and some form of issue with the right wing.

Differs to what was reported on Milscanners earlier -- unable to maintain airspeed & it was just Typhoons.

Daily Mail already have a story on it!!!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... space.html
Mechanics are not trying to troubleshoot the cause of the error message before the aircraft returns to service.

:wall:

Only reporting whats on FC Brevet ;-) they're also reporting it was configured for Hose/Drogue tanking off the boom.

That's the thing, different people listening at different times hearing different things.
Odds on both of them are correct.

As for the DM's version......it got a bit further than Norfolk, higher than 11k Ft. and was heading in the opposite direction to the North Sea
