A twitter account by the name of @RAF_Fairford has stated a B-1B arrival at 1045 and a U-2 arrival at 1115. Oh and a KC-10A departure at 1115 too. It's not stated whether these times are Local...
Hmmm.... Just checked the 'Fairford Movements' website & see they've had a couple of C-17s in & out this week, with the KC-10 having arrived yesterday.
'AMPLE STRIKE' starts this week ( or is it next week ) so related to that ?

If the B-1 is using callsign CROOK, I heard it about 30-45 minutes ago.....don't know whether it ( they ? ) routed via Brecon or - more likely - Lands End

For those of us who are left clicking their heels until RIAT 2018 just thought (sorry if you are already aware) that you maybe interested in what is going on there now.

Is that it for this exercise then- the 3 that are in...? Worth noting one of each to display at Radom and Sliac Sat&Sun so should be weekend movements...
I apologise to you folks on NOTAM, my original submission was to the RIAT thread but someone in their wisdom redirected it to here -definitely not for the casual observer like me and to what I wrote was intended for.

NOTAM is an abbreviation of 'Notice to Airmen', and are officially published bulletins which advise pilots of anything which may affect them in the area they're flying through.

NOTAM wasn't up when I got home from work at 07:30; It was up when I got up at mid-day. Contrary to what some on here may believe, I've not yet mastered the art of posting whilst sleeping.
As for this NOTAM, I presume it's a follow-up to one which was published for the departure.

Today's movements saw the B-52 head out to perform at some European shows and it returned around an hour ago. The deployed U-2 also flew today with the call sign 'QUID 09' (homage to the SR-71 call signs of old perhaps) and this has also recently returned.
Tomorrow should see one of the B-1s depart for show displays as well. No idea when the U-2 is set to fly again.
