That was a slightly different event utilising the aircraft gathered for the "Spitfire - Evolution of an Icon" in Airspace as well as the aircraft on permanent display.

There was an evening photography event in Sept 21 that was outside and used re-enactors with several aircraft as well as a night engine run by Spitfire Mk XIV and P-40F...

Duxford Wednesday 27th July (Part 1):

Newly restored Spitfire FR.XIV RM927 (G-SXIV) arrived from Sywell this morning for a training detail. Sadly, crosswinds prevented the planned sorties, and she returned home late afternoon.
Many congratulations to the Air Leasing team for their completion of such a fabulous aeroplane, hopefully it will be seen at a few events before departing to its French owner.
And the noise !!!!!

Duxford Saturday 30th July:

Another busy Duxford day with, among others, 8 different Spitfires active, and a steady stream of Old Buckenham Airshow participants coming and going.

Visiting from Seething, RV-8 G-KRBY is a very new addition to the UK RV fleet. It has been finished with a warbird inspired colour scheme and has an immaculate 'old school' cockpit.

Another great selection David! I've never really cared for long-nose P-40s but that one just looks so darned pretty!
