Revell GB- 1/32 Mig-29UB/CT Done?

Post by Fumbles »

Wohoo! I got some bandwidth back! Now I can post what I started last week. I'm building this Revell 1/32 Mig-29UB out of the box.. No addons for a change. This kit is very basic in parts, there really is not alot of them. But there is quite a bit of detail for the kits age. I found the copyright mark on the inside of the fuselage and it said 1990. Ok first of some shots of the parts...

And now where I was as of Tuesday. This weekend I should have most of the kit done and ready for paint before leaveing for Las vegas on Monday. The cockpit colour looks a little off and clean... It is more due to the flash. I'll add a more wash to the instrument panel later.

Lastly... for some reason Revell provided some nice engines, but the wanted the intakes to be sealed off! So I cut out the back wall to show
a nice intake tunnel through. I left a little bit of plastic on because that was the wall for the wheel well. This is the after pic.

Thanks for looking. Off to work I go now... but at least it is Friday! :yahoo:

Easy tiger. One build finished and leading straight into another, you'll be speed building before

Watching this with interest mate. :snack:

Alrigty then... I know I have been quiet over the past two maybe three weeks. But I have been a busy guy. A trip to Las vegas and getting home just last weekend and now funny enough... another trip to Las Vegas for Red Flag 14-2 leaving home next Sunday. But...... I have also been working away on this kit. The bulk of the kit is now built, and I have started to add paint. All and all, this kit has been a fun build with no major problems at all. Word is that this is a dicontinued kit. So get one if you can while supplies last.

Craig... The kit is not so much a monster... It is actually about the same size as a 1/32 F-16 and yeap it does have German markings and guess what? Yeap I'm doing the German markings. The box markings just don't look good to me. So here we go... 3 shots for now.

Earlier this week. I was adding filler and checking for gaps which this kit does not have many.

Now where I am as of tonight... Some paint is added, just a first layer.

Thanks for looking and as usuall C&C always welcome.

Hi everyone... Just to let you guys know. I have been working away on this kit in between two trips to Las Vegas covering Red Flag 14-1 and 14-2. The deadline is looming. But I am confident that I will make it. I have all day Sunday and Monday evening to finish the load out and the landing gear.

So how the kits looks as of Saturday Night.

Alrighty then... I know it's not 100% compleat. The missile rails gave me more hassle then what I thought they would. So other then that... I'm calling this one complete. Hope you guys don't mind me doing that? Just the two shots for now... I'm on my way to work and running late  , I'll get into the next group build with something from the stash..... Just not sure of what yet. :)

Thanks for looking and also the comments.

Oh... there are seats in there... I think Revell messed up a little on the hight. I may have to add a block of two of plastic to raise them.

Nope this is Germany post unification. The Luftwaffe flew a mixed Western/Eastern fleet for some time. I believe the Hungarians eventually bought the MiG 29s, used to be an awesome airshow act!
