The final instalment from Le Bourget this week, with a look around the post-war aircraft hall.
I didn’t get to see the World War Two aircraft on this visit as the building was shut, but still enjoyed what is a stunning museum.

More from the long weekend in France in 2005 this week at aviationanoraks, with the first part of our coverage of the La Ferte-Alais airshow.
A large amount of rain in the days leading up to the show made it incredibly muddy (a pair of boots were wrecked and ended up in a bin in the village later that day!) but this didn’t stop what was a stunning show.

The final part of our long weekend in France is now up at aviationanoraks.co.uk with more photos from the very enjoyable La Ferte Alais show of May 2005.
The muddy conditions didn’t stop the flying, although one Yak did get stuck and had to be dug out!

An up to date update at aviationanoraks.co.uk this week with photos from a few pleasant hours spent at Halfpenny Green last Sunday.
Quite a varied selection of GA aircraft, and in beautiful weather - finally!

More memory lane photos this week at aviationanoraks, and a selection of images taken at RAF Cosford airshows in the late 80’s and 90’s.
Looking back through these made me realise just how many types are no longer flying and acts that were taken for granted are no longer around.

Much more recent photos at aviationanoraks this week, with our first set from this years Midlands Air Festival at Ragley Hall.
This was a first visit for us even though it is comparatively local, but we were pleasantly surprised.
We had a few issues with people not social distancing but this was no fault of the organisers, who put on a varied and interesting show in a beautiful setting.
None of our photos came out particularly impressive, possibly down to lack of practice and the position of the sun, but it was good to be back at an airshow.
This first batch of photos feature the Red Arrows, so good to see them again after two years.

More from the Midlands Air Festival at aviationanoraks this week, and photos of the other acts in the flying display.
Considering the current climate the display managed to have something for pretty much everyone, and it was nice to see some new acts such as the SF260 and Gipsy Pair.

Our third set from the Midlands Air Festival focuses on Team Raven.
This was the first time we had seen them display in a few years, and the routine seemed a lot more dynamic and polished than previous.
We really enjoyed their display, so decided to give them a one week slot on our ‘Latest’ page at aviationanoraks.co.uk

A last look at the Midlands Air Festival this week, with a few more photos of the flying display and some other parts of the day.
A truly beautiful setting for the show, with the added bonus of the temporary strip allowing some of the lighter types to land.
This was the first time we had been to this show, it won’t be our last.
