Post those Harrier shots...well go on!!!

Post by TonyO »

So there are only a few weeks left of Harrier operations left in the UK, so why exactly is there no dedicated Harrier picture thread?

No real rules to this one, all Harriers, both British and foreign, SHARs and Crab machines are both just as welcome - but please only three images per post, but as many posts as you wish

I'll start with a couple, a SHAR and a gorgeous T8...

I reckon at least one of mine should really go in the golden oldies section, rather than here, but never mind... Three from the archive:

Early days - a Harrier Conversion Unit GR.1 at Benson Battle of Britain day display in September 1970...

Image

A Spanish Matador at a very wet Fairford for the 1994 International Air Tattoo...

Image

And a T.10 from No.20 Squadron somewhere over the North Sea in November 1996...

Image

Only about another 1,100 colour trannies to go before I can think about getting to the digital stuff!!!
I am not a loony... I used to be, but I think I am better now...

Can't believe that I'm never going to see one of these noisy little buggers ever again - a horrible thought.

Hi, very interesting images on this topic. It's so sad to hear about the retirement of Harrier. I saw two times in my life these wonderful aircraft in flight.
These is my humble contribution, my apologies about the image quality, both scanned from printed photos.

Harrier Gr3 at El Bosque Chilean Air Force Air Base, during FIDAE 90s.
Image

Harrier Gr5, at Los Cerrillos during FIDAE 92.
