Beagle bark !

Post by rocketeer »

Hi all,
Suddenly realised that one of my favourite types is disappearing fast! Where have all the Beagle types gone? So how about a troll through the photos and post up the great lost opportunity for UK civil types?
Anyone know who the Beagle Basset at Biggin Hill belongs too?

Oh sorry I thought you meant the IL28 beagle though the old beagle company is poorly represented in the museum world, and yet the most common varient saved is the 206.

Well here's a Chinese copy of a Russian il-28 'Beagle' aka Harbin HD-5 .... won't qualify as a pedigree for Crufts!

And one to get us back on track the G-ASWJ ex Rolls Royce aircraft grounded in 1975 that then was used as a maintenance trainer at Halton and now stored at the Midland Air Museum:

And one from the archives taken by me at Biggin Hill in 1979 a Royal Flying Doctor Service Beagle 206S in the snow:

Here's some Beagles, alas no Basset. You will be pleased to know that G-FLYP has very recently received a C of A, so there is a flying Basset on the UK register again.

Sorry for the confusion over which Beagle types ? Yes I meant the old UK BEAGLE company from time long gone!
Sad story but some very pretty types produced. Now they are become very far and few between.
Thanks guys.
