Is it just me that isn't getting participation emails like we used to or is everyone else having the same issue?

Yeah, I am not getting any either.I've just checked my email account and the last emails I got from them was confirmation of the roll-over to 2022 around last summer and a Happy New Year email on 31/12/21

First time posting here in a few years so hello everyone!

At Leuchars it seemed the Austrian Typhoon also performed a solo (loaded with jammer pods/fuel tanks please do correct me which one they are) separate to the intercept QRA demo at a different time in the programme, so that could be something that makes this great update even more of a coup!

Apparently Team Phoenix [Yak-52 (x 2)] will display on the 15th only? Anyone knows if this is true?

Interesting, they did say at Duxford in 2019 they were looking at moving into Aerobatic displays having displayed in the Piper PA28 under the name Bader's bus company.

Good to see they are still going. A very unique team of pilots with a great story of over-coming adversity in life.

Weird, Reds are now only down for Saturday and Sunday of RIAT https://www.raf.mod.uk/display-teams/re ... /displays/

Talk elsewhere it might be a glitch and BBMF and Reds schedules have merged as Reds are now down for Duxford BoB show and East Kirkby. West Midlands has been removed but the airshow director has said on FB they are deff down for it. Duxford date shows the Friday when the show is Saturday & Sunday. Goodwood also on the list now.

Edit - Yeah, somethings up. The BBMF Schedule and Reds schedule is now identical.

Amazingly, there is a participation list on the RIAT website, which has all the confirmed aircraft listed, who’d have thought it!

D’y’know, I used to think this, and then I was writing some piece once (maybe the “top ten of the decade”), and because old “looking back” pages were a complete mess (and, tbf, why would RIAT bother keeping a participation list from 2010 up to date), these pages proved to be remarkably helpful as an archive. I think I was looking to see what happened about the Romanian MiG-21s in 2010.

I’m not saying that the participation list isn’t a good place to go as a starting point, but if people want to do it, then it harms no one, and can be useful down the line.

Plus, as RIAT don’t confirm self-confirmations, it can be nice to see what else has been confirmed by the operators themselves.

So, yeh, it hurts no one, it can have uses, and if people want to take the time to do it, then crack on, I say.

Same, I wanted to see what was confirmed for the last two cancelled shows at it took about 45mins :D

I guess most of us make a bee line for the check list sellers; it's a useful aide memoire and I have them back to the Mildenhall shows in the late '70s.

Post show, you used to be able to buy a movements list which included everything from the first landing to the last take-off; I can't remember which group compiled them, but for a few quid it was a great resource. Sadly, long since gone due to costs apparently.

Anyway - anybody else got the invitation to the FRIAT form this Friday? be good to catch up.

The team has published its 2022 schedule on FB which says it is unavailable (for home airshows) between June and August as it is attending an international event.... or words to that effect

Wonder if it could be a combined Farnborough thing like last time?
