48hr photo comp: SPTA

Post by Ridgeback1 »

So the next comp is about Salisbury Plain Training Area.

I do not have pictures from the SPTA myself, I spent many hours searching the internet about the SPTA because a first visit is still on my list.
So let's see what any of you was able to get down there (I'll brace myself for some jealousy :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )

For the members from abroad who possibly never got to visit the SPTA I'll allow comparable photo's from one's own country's training area's.

As an introduction a recent photo from myself, the special painted dutch Chinook. It's flying on last hours and destined for the military museum, I missed it on a few occassions and last monday I got it, on a day which was cloudy and rainy, but with open spells and we only need a minute right? :grinning:
Happy as a little boy.

Thank you for including non-UK based spotters ;)
I'll go with Nowy Targ airfield - Polish Hinds come here twice a year (winter and summer) for mountain flights.

Three images from various visits to SPTA, one of my favourite spotting locations in the UK!

A difficult theme considering the light number of entries, but quality none the less.

So here goes:
3) Head on Polish Hind from Tomasz
2) Slingloading Chinook from Peter
1) RNZAF Huey on a snowy montain, from Andyph, just wow...
Congrats and over to you.
