On Sunday Richards Castle held its annual Soapbox Derby on a 550 metre downhill course. There were various classes of entry for senior and junior participants on the timed course, with some amazing creations taking part. Some were in both Senior and Junior categories, which is shown by a double entry number.
Senior 4-wheel entries
12 South Shropshire Tiger 1 Owners Club – a rather battered version of Tiger 131, which is featured in another thread about the tank at Bovington. This has entered many times and is missing various bits which have dropped off over the years!
13 The IT Crowd, Ludlow
14 Orleton Primary School – a local entry negotiating the straw bale chicane
15 C12 from Chippenham, which was the previous winner. This lost its canopy and a rear wheel on one of the runs.
16 Runaway Baby – a buggy from Newnham in Gloucestershire
17 Tarmac Warriors from Telford
18 Yarpole Mens Shed
19 RS-R-US, Weobley
20+4 Its Not Motocross/The Bugsy Boys, Uley, Gloucestershire
21 Chrisbeon EFFI, Telford
22 Passiv Aggressive from Hereford
23+8 Richard Furnishings, Leominster
24 Wallace & Gromit from Ludlow. Various bits dropped off this through the day.
25 Phut Phut from Overton
26 Wicked Racing from Ludlow with one of their hire vans in miniature
27 Acceleramus from London, which was runner-up in the previous Derby and is very quick
28 The Boot Inn Bootleggers, Orleton
31 The Mutts Nuts, Ludlow
32 BRM, Yarpole
33 Free Wheeling Weagers from Hereford
34 Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training, Worcester
35 CS Boggy Sport I and 37 CS Boggy Sport II froom Market Drayton
