I've been saying to myself for the last three or four years that this will be the year that I go to Axalp, so maybe 2015 will be the year that I actually make it happen ;)

Giving this a bump - one year to go, and this is already one I'm looking forward to.

Esoecially if Wildgarst is anything to go by... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieyGQ8zbtuE

Wildgarst is awesome, its me talking on that video at the beginning as I took Neil on his first Axalp trip, but Wildgarst is not for the faint hearted, we started the climb at 0100 and arrived at 0645, 5000 ft climb from 5000 to 100000 10 km each way, at 8500 you really start to feel the lack of oxygen, its not the sort of place you wanna be getting into difficultly, tower side though is a breeze though getting there by taking the back route is far easier than the normal way.

Are there any dates yet for next year, really miffed its not on this year, would have been No 6

This show is absolutely on my bucket list. I'd love to have the money and time to be able to go next year.

On a serious note, if anybody would like to go as part of a group or share driving/accommodation etc, then I would most certainly be interested - despite reservations about a stupid o'clock start and arriving at the summit looking like an asthmatic ant with some particularly heavy shopping, I still want to go!!!

Yep, still fancy it. But judging how knackered I was climbing up to Beachy Head in August I don't think i'd be able to do it. :loser:
