Viewing at Yeovilton

Post by Wissam24 »

I have some spare time on my hands at the moment and I was thinking of going up to Yeovilton some day and viewing departures or arrivals maybe, as well as the FAA. Is it an easily viewed airbase, if so, where is the best place to go?

I've just moved this thread to this section of the forum - seems more suited here.

Best of luck when you go!

All you need to know is here. http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/

Click on "airfield viewing guides", then "RNAS Yeovilton"

The naughty field at 27 end is nice for arrivals but it is very exposed no shade or shelter, pyle lane is where most of us locals pop to space for cars shade if it gets hot and shelter if it rains in the right direction , 09 has its own quirks again slightly exposed but there is parking for a car in a side track and depending on runway use you can get some great departure shots
