RIAT 2019 UKAR meetup...

Post by CJS »

Well, here we are again. Given the, ahem, success of the last two UKAR RIAT meetups, shall we do something similar this year? Sunday at 9.30 by the Wonderland tent again?

I think we should Chris - we had a decent turn out last year

It must be getting close if we're talking about the meet up!

Well BC has promised to attend and bring lots of beer; so Sunday at 9.30 it is!

(Anybody there earlier in the week, make sure Wonderland are in the usual position please)

I’m sure UKAR can let me out of the cupboard under the stairs for a few mins to catch up.

Although I am generally there at RIAT every day, and this year is the second time as a Mach 3-er FRIAT member, I often go to Totterdown on Sundays to gain a different perspective. All depends on how the weather has played out. If I'm in the showground on the Sunday, I'll look to stop by... but where/what is the Wonderland tent? Where was it situated last year?

The Wonderland (models {plastic kits not the other sort}) tent - blue and yellow stripes - is usually in the centre section close to the aircrew stands. Basically if you walk in through the Blue gate and head for 11 o'clock you can't miss it.

Of course they will, basically once inside Blue Gate assume a heading of 330 until nose touches tent! :yahoo:

Good news for me then, I'm 44 and understand 11 o'clock just fine

Thanks Iain for the heads up...

I'll give it a go, after I've failed on three consecutive occasions.

Me too but I'll swing past Wonderland at 0930 if you want to say hi. Likewise any other Saturday UKARians.

Anyone there today confirm that Wonderland is in the same place as last year?

I assume we're still on for Sunday (and the breakaway splinter meeting tomorrow - traitors...)?
