Thunder And Lightning Over Arizona 2021 (Davis Monthan) - 6th and 7th November 2021

Post by spellow3010 »

Woohoo,
the borders are opening up for November 2021 so people are probably going to start adventuring across the pond again sooner rather than later. So it is exciting therefore to report that Davis Monthan AFB will be hosting the 'Thunder And Lightning Over Arizona' airshow on November 6th and 7th 2021.

Free to enter... pay some dollars for grandstand seats.

Featured Attractions currently listed on the website -
USAF Thunderbirds
USAF F-35A Lightning II (Saturday 6th November only)
USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II (that's what it says on the website) Demo Team
USN F-18 Super Hornet Demo Team
USAF C-17 Globemaster III Demo Team
USAF Desert Lightning CSAR Demo - includes 4 x A-10, 2 x HH60G Pave Hawks and a brief appearance from an HC-130J 'Combat King.' Lots of pyros.

Civilian Acts currently featured on the website -
Vicky Benzing
Kent Pietsch
Kirby Chambliss
Red Bull Helicopter (still the amazing Bo-105?)
Red Bull Skydivers
Joe Shetterly (RV-8)
SubSonex Jet
And last but not least, the mighty Aftershock Jet Fire Truck.

Here is a link to the website for more information...

Hopefully see you there on the Sunday...

Sadly, I have had to change my travel plans and will now miss this airshow. The border twixt UK and US does not open for us Brits travelling to the US now until Monday 8th November 2021.

Disappointed, but can't do anything about it.
