Swift F.4 WK275

Post by Steve Bond »

Is this Swift still being allowed to moulder away outside at Finningley/Doncaster? It seems such a crime given the superb condition it was in when it arrived there after Jet Art's restoration.

No, it was taken away to an undisclosed private location quite a while back

I have not followed this one, but I just noticed on Wikipedia:
WK275 (F.4) Having spent four years being restored to exhibition standard by Jet Art Aviation, this aircraft is now on loan to the Vulcan To The Sky Trust. It represents the definitive fighter variant with slab tail.[18]

Can anyone explain? Is it at Doncaster? Thanks

Laurence

Wiki's wrong ( nothing new there )
It was moved from there in either May or June.

Thanks. Good to hear it has been moved and is- hopefully - back under cover.

It survived the previous 40 years outdoors in lousy British weather so it would have probably been OK.
