Classic British Jets Collection

Post by Equinox806 »

If anyone's interested I can start a page on the aircraft in the collection I work with

Sea Vixen XJ494
Hunter GA11 WT806
Jet Provost's XM365 and XW290
Plus the venom and meteor

It would help if anyone could show us how to upload photos though

Guides are pinned at the top of all the photo forums.

It still looks overly complicated and I don't have any of them platforms anyhow

If it’s too much to learn what everyone else has managed to learn don’t bother. I hope your teams approach to conserving aircraft isn’t as lazy as your approach to marketing.

Equinox, you'll need a picture hosting site to upload the pictures to first. I use Postimg. Then, once you have done that, you simply copy the provided forum link from the uploaded picture into your post where you want it! It sounds a faff but you very quickly get used to it.

Equinox,

I'd be very grateful if you could create a thread on the Vixen, Hunter etc, and I'm sure others would be very interested. The way I see it the more pics and info sharing that goes on, the more understanding there is of the triumphs and troubles of preservation "at the coal face". I think a huge chunk of the internet strife and armchair comment that floats about is down in part to a lack of first hand info and understanding of the real situation. I'm not just talking about Brunty jets here, it's a general theme across the board.

Whilst I've access to all the photos I sadly can't get my head around photo board, obviously too used to the ease which faceache allows you too upload, if anyone knows an easier way I'm all ears. I think the last time I did this I sent the updates and photos to someone who was familiar with posting on here and they posted 3rd party

When I get a sec I'll try to do you an 'idiots guide'. Might help! But yes faceache is much simpler...
