Duxford September show pics - Scorchio Saturday
DAS have recently finished restoring their Comet and it's now open to the public for walkthroughs. The cockpit... well, words fail - though "ergonomic slum" works!
Nice to see a camo Bryza instead of the more common grey variety.
A Spitfire scheme to make anybody salivate.
Stars of the show for me - Norwegian Vampire pair:
Now on with the flying...

Couple of lovely Swordfish photos- looks beautiful when you can see the camo uppers contrasting with the white.

Thanks guys. Stu - this was my first Nikon only show, because my Canon gear was in the car and the veteran we'd brought to the show was feeling unwell so my other half drove him home. I stayed on and just shot the show with what I had to hand - Nikon D7000 + 300 f4, +TC sometimes and 18-200 for some shots too.

Terrific set.
I did wonder if the Bryza turned up.

What are your thoughts on the Nikon gear, Damien?
http://www.gcse.com/english/there.htm - learn how to use 'their', 'there' and 'they're'.

Pretty happy with it; the only real problem I have with the D7000 is that its metering does not cope at all well with rapidly varying light levels, so following an aircraft from being sunny side up to silhouetted results in most of the latter shots being unuseable for instance. My 1D2 doesn't suffer as badly and varying the exposure compensation during a pass is easier on it too. Also don't like Nikon's lens mount system - much more fiddly than the Canon mount and slows me down when changing lenses in a hurry.

Very nice roundup Damien. Were you wearing a red shirt and black trowsers?. I think I saw you a couple of times when you were wondering about and someone pointed you out to me.
Cheers
