Hamilton Airshow May 2013

Post by PeteFenwick »

Very late but only completed editing pics from a great airshow. Had a bit of everything and of course the fabulous Mosquito. Now Jerry Yagen has sold a number of his warbirds unlikely to see several of the aircraft that appeared at this airshow at Hamilton or in the same mix of warbirds. The Canadian Air Force displayed the Hornet and Orion and the snowbirds were impressive. The 2 days of the airshow allowed one to get the photos as the weather was changeable.

Overly cautious with shutter speed but not everyday one sees a lancaster, mosquito, spits and hurricanes all together

Thanks for looking and hope the pics are OK. Just 6 months to get through!

Cracking set, fantastic variety  One for the list if I ever drag my sorry arse back to North America. I do like the Snowbirds- a 9 ship line abreast is no easy feat to pull off!! :worship: I love the fresh out of the box feel about the preserved stuff too, just great.
One note your Orion is technically an Aurora

Rubbish!
Only just noticed your post Pete, they look familiar but all very nice and what a great mix of types.
Hard to pick a favourite but the Snowbirds head on is a great shot and like that FW-190 too.
All the best, Ian
(Btw, sensor needs a clean, dust spot showing up on the snowbirds topside & F-104 shots)

Wow! Some gorgeous types well captured there! Would love to see a mossie fly again. Don't think I've seen one since Biggin Hill in the 80s. Many thanks for posting these
