Took a trip over to Coventry Airport for Baginton’s Air Pageant on Saturday. The event seemed a little disjointed with large gaps between displays but was still an enjoyable day out. The RAF Shark-mouthed Mustang was an added bonus, shame it didn’t display. But the undoubted stars of the day was the pair of Meteor’s displaying together for the first time since WA591 was restored to flight, I believe someone stated it’s the first time a pair of Meteor’s have displayed together for 25 years? A fantastic sight & sound.
And before anyone asks these were taken outside & yes I did pay to go in & take a look around in the morning.

Lovely lovely shots. They don't get much more perfect than number two.
I hope the pair get to display together to wider audience this season.

Very nice Stu, detailing on the solo T7 shots are stunning.

That opening pairs shot is stunning. Lovely set.
Do you know if this was just a one off or are there plans to display them as a pair at any other shows?

Thanks guys. As for doing this again not sure, would be nice though.. As for stating this was the first time a pair of Meteors displayed together, this is not true the pair of Martin Baker Meteor's displayed at Cranwell a few years ago for some sort of Meteor anniversary.
Re: Meteor’s at Baginton Air Pageant
That first one is exquisite... Brought tears to my eyes as I remember four-ship display teams from the College of Air Warfare in the early 1960s...
I am not a loony... I used to be, but I think I am better now...

Really crisp pics, nice and bright - nice job.
Nikon D5100, 18-55mm VR, 55-300mm VR
These are my photos, there are many like them but these are mine.

Lovely shots, first one for me as well. The NF.11 displayed with an F.8 - the one now in Australia - and Canberra WK163 (so a three-ship) at Coventry airshow in 2000. I saw M-B's pair in formation over Chalgrove in 2003. I assume WL419 is no longer flying..?
