Well except for 1 cloudy day 7 days of sun. Huge variety of aircraft and stand outs include gathering of P51 Mustangs-23/24 I managed to see but I gather there were more, The twin Mustang, Rod Lewis Mosquito, 12 DC3's flying, Year of the Fighter with F22/F35A and A10 all displaying daily and with heritage flights, USNavy heritage flights, Aerial Firefighting displays each day, celebrating 50th anniversary of the Boeing 747, T-28 Trojan 70th anniversary, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration WP-3D (one of only two), Boeing KC-46 Pegasus, and mini displays by the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds.
Hopefully the photos will give a flavour-hope you enjoy and comments welcome

A final few. The first 2 aircraft illustrate to my mind what is great about Oshkosh-both are unique being the only flying examples of their type, and the latter as far as I am aware the only example.

One for the bucket list, certainly. Those dusk Raptor/Lightning II shots are stunning.

Re: Oshkosh 2019
A nice selection of images that shows the cross-section of aircraft that attend/perform. I was a little disappointed that the HS146 did not participate in the firefighting demo. The mass P-51 run-up (I think there were 18 in total) was something to see and hear.
The Mosquito and the H model of the P-51 were the standouts for me. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Oshkosh 2019
Thanks for the comments and in response to Arigatou-Photography for the arrivals and departures firstly depend on which of the 2 main runways in use. In my limited experience generally (although this varies a lot) arrivals/departures on 36/18L are fine particularly after lunchtime when the sun is more westerly. Runway 18/36R is noticeably more distant and hence heat haze and the distance is a problem. On 18/36L the backdrop is uncluttered particularly from the Vintage hangar and south.
One can get very close to runway 27 but it is about 2/3 of the way along to the west hence arriving aircraft are on the runway and departing aircraft can be a bit high. perfect for the sun though and heat haze generally not a problem
Overall bearing in mind the use of 2 runways I found it pretty good for pics. Hope this helps.
Will post a few more pics shortly but with 2,500+ have to be selective.
