I'd been down the Mediteranean in October to get myself another proper dose of fighter violence and wokka action while the sun was still shining overthere. This all coincided with the STAREX'09 exercise at Decimomannu airbase, what off course was the main goal of it all.

But flying straight forth and back, from one airport to another, is old-skool....especially when one has more days left to spend!
In these current days of Ryanair, Easyjet and you name whatever cheap-xxx airline you can find in Europe, it is tempting and hard not to fly via back via another airport. I decided to take advantage of the other destinations Ryanair offered from Cagliari and ended up at Marseille-Provence for a stopover of 3,5 days.Dash8-Q400MR
