The"Double Ugly"Hellenic F-4s@Andravida AB

Post by Crossbow »

Hello

Hope you are not having enough from Greece...Probably MickF4 will like them most in Contrast to the ones
he has taken from JG-71 at Deci.Think it was about the same time.(BTW we are waiting to see those.)
In between our Days at Araxos we also visited Andravida Combat Wing 117 again(to see and photograph
our last ones and to see some old friends)The Base host 2 Sqds:338+339 Mira with around 30 F-4e AUPs.

Here you go for the Mighty Rhinos :yahoo:

A busy Ramp for most of the time(around 20 flying)

Another v pleasant set Hans. 6 F-4s together must have been quite a sight.

Pictures from Deci will follow later this week, as I had to write the story for the magazine first.....it was a sad journey, to see the last GAF F-4 deployment in Deci

Hello Guys

Thx for all the Replies!Very kind of you.PS-Robert.Cold War or not.I am back at Bruggen
since Saturday, and I can tell you I am bored to death already! The Rest of the Country
seems to be in a long sleep(Planewise)-Be happy you are living in a Country having active
Airfields next to your house.-Also I like the RAF most...but it also can be boring only seeing
them.Be prepared for another Report coming from Elefsis(No Fighters there)-just to keep
the Variety in this Forum high.

Thx anyway.PS-Mick looking forward to the GAF Phantoms!

If you follow the rules (applied in every military Base around the Globe) and you respect your hosts nobody gets arrested! If you treat your hosts like they are fools then expect to be treated accordingly!I have witnessed several visits from spotters from around the world and i must say that in most of them people behaved as they should. But there were also moments that i felt like i was treated like a fool!Anyway great shoots from the Hellenic Air Force Bases.I really hope that more of such visits will follow.
