Well actually a visit to Cornwall to visit my parents but I took the opportunity to stop off on route and visit a few places whilst there. Weather was mixed but pretty good all things considered.
First up was Yeovilton where the highlight was catching one of the former HMS Endurance Lynx in nice light.
HMS Iron Duke Ships Flight HMA8 up next....with nose art!
Lastly as the weather closed in, one of the Anniversary Sea King HC4 decided to lmake a low approach to 09,
Quick call by Yeovil where the second Trials Wildcat was landing just before the heavens opened up over Yeovil. The view heading away from Yeovil was quite amazing as the deluge hit.
Next up Culdrose. All shots taken from the excellent viewing area and its exceptional cafeteria. Last time I shot from here Pakistan Navy Sea Kings were onthe ramp. Mad Dan will be able to confirm how many years ago that was!
No pot of gold at the end of this rainbow just a MK1 Merlin; 2013 before the MK2 arrives.
A few ASaC7 up and about having returned from Libya including one which kindly taxied along the main runway to the end.
Couple more again as the light closed in with the next weather front about to hit the West.
Passing Newquay by chance just as this AW101 appeared out of the gloom.
Glorious sunshine at the week end so off to Land`s End where a 771 Sqn MK5 Sea King paid a visit undertaking a confined landing test next door to the amusement area.
Finally back to Yeovilton where I managed to capture sme fixed wings at last'
Harrier T8
A 32 (TR) Squadron BAe146 in the circuit for quite some time.
And finally a couple more 702 Squadron Lynx including the special anniversary aircraft which paid a visit to Salisbury Plain the same day.
Regards, Ian

You have parents? And there was me thinking you were an alien......although, if you are from Cornwall, that could explain it...
(nice pics, btw...especially for a beginner!!!)

Born in Slough which probably expalins alot!! As for being an alien I do ave yellow eyes at the moment but more to do with my health.Anyway, with all the abuse you missed the cue to remind me when the Pakistan Navy Sea Kings were at Culdrose....circa 73/74??
Raspberry to you too my friend.

Lovely, Ian! Like the last Sea King HU5 shot in particular. Nice to see some SHar's parked on Yeovilton's tarmac. Any idea why they are there? (Asked RichP on msn but he never did give an answer)

Hi Koen. Pleased you liked them. My understanding was they were simply being moved from one location to another and were placed on the ramp prior to being covered and moved again. The fact they weren`t bagged up suggested something else, perhaps Museum, but I`m gong with the first. Happy to be corrected though.
