I thought you were joking..........
"As long missions require comfort, it has pressurisation that it allows to operate up to 10,000 metres (32,800 ft) without oxygen masks, which are available for emergencies and combat situations.[26] The crew members have room to stand and move about the cabin during long missions.[27][28] The space between the seats allows them to lie down in the corridor, if necessary.[26] A toilet and a galley are located behind the crew seats"

... and an olympic-sized swimming pool....
It's all absoloute nonsense....
There is no toilet nor galley - there is room to stand up - and lie down between the two K-36 ejection seats - but that's it.
The 'toilet' is just Sukhoi publicity - and turns out to just be a pee flask - see here
It's a great machine and the cockpit is roomy - but that's all.

Happy to be corrected
Basically correct. Literally it's: Millitary Air Force of Russia (Voyenno Vozdushnye Sily Rossii or in Russian: Военно-воздушные Cилы России)

I do understand people want to raise their clicks on Airliners.net, but to my opinion this thread is senseless. For every single picture I have to click, to my point of view this is abusing the sense of a photo section.
I appreciate your pictures, but the posting style (200px is tiny) displeases me. If I want to look through thumbnail pages, I could go to airliners myself.

Re: Russian Air Force
Why do all Russian military jets seem to have the little cover behind the front wheel?

Re: Russian Air Force
Some more fabulous images of fantastic aeroplanes Hating that new dark grey/sky blue scheme though
To prevent FOD from being kicked up into the engine intakes, particularly relevant to '27s and '29s with their low slung intakes. Even the best of the Russian bases leave a bit to be desired with regards to grit, grass, stones, snow, ice etc lying around on the hard surfaces. Frogfoots(feet?) of course are capable of operating off grass and other unprepared strips.
