Luke F-35A encounter

Post by davechng »

My 1st LF tail code F-35A in NAS Ft worth last Sat. He came out to play and did quite a bit of option runs after making a 1.8 hrs flight with Chaser F_16 137.

Caught some great banking while he make those Low key and High key options.

Full report here

Here are some teasers

Hi, great pics & just a question, some reports have it that F35 has greater engine noise, did you notice this compared to the other traffic while you were there ? Thx Ronoz

Love the second one.
Is the contrasting colour around the edges of the panels normal?

Cheers,
Jeff.
I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.

Having seen the Nellis ones fly a few times, imho it's very noisy!

I must be one of the few people on UK who like the F35. Not as sleek as the X35, but all those lines and curves give it a bit of character. Let's hope it does the job. Nice pics. The RAF grayed out roundel is pointless, could belong to anyone..
Cheers,

Chris
