Bwlch Exit 200209

Post by Glenn Beasley »

My luck has finally changed with the loop! Having seen quite a few chaps from the board have a bit of luck with the old Strike Eagles of a Friday I thought I'd give it a go. My intention was to go for Cad West but on arriving in the loop, the wall to wall sunshine meant I switched to the Bwlch. The light was falling rather nicely over the exit so I headed in that direction.

Initially it seemed my loop curse would continue, got caught napping by a pair of Hawks early on and then the eerie silence of the place settled in. Then the 100 years special Hawk showed up from Valley and the a jolly green giant in the form of a Herc, things were looking up.

Then at around 1:00pm a jet turned the corner for the Bwlch and I knew immediately it was the holy grail, one of Lakenheath's finest. Then another three proceeded to follow and then they set about bashing the place up good and proper with several passes and sneak passes from behind. Thanks chaps, you made my day!

Simply stunning shots, the topside of Strike Eagle with the primer airbrake are nice ones, and what a difference a bit of sun makes

Yes, I've been buzzing all day still from yesterday. Was about time I got lucky with the loop, its a 340 mile round trek for me!

And you felt the need to ring me for that?!?

I had to share the moment with someone and the Mrs didn't appear to understand the significance!
