We had a fantastic day yesterday. First off, shooting the 355th FW A-10s arriving at Lakenheath As "Hawg 01 Flight":

One A-10 flew a photo sortie with three 393rd FS F-15s before landing. They were quite high as they passed over head, so this isn't a brilliant shot:

This C-17A was supporting the deployment, here seen landing complete with ice under the wings:

There was plenty of F-15 action during the morning which we stayed for, then Ramrod kindly broadcast that the fighters were down for the day at around 1200 so we left for Mildenhall. As usual there was a enjoyable mix of movements:

Lovely to hear and see a smokey old C-130 again:

Currently there's roadworks near the dead-end leading to John's Field (Pollards Lane), so be prepared for the road to be closed. The chaps manning the barriers will let you through if you say you're going to Pollards Lane. Although when we tried it the road was blocked with plant, so we just parked up on the closed section of road for the afternoon instead. Anybody recognise themselves?
