A jet trainer which does not respond anymore to radio contacts.
SAR helicopters taking off.
The wreck found on a mountain.
The search (and the rescue) for the survivors.

It may look like a crash report, but it was the scenario for SAR exercise SATER 01-18, held on 27th March near Verona, Italy.

Involved aircraft were an Agusta-Bell AB.212 belonging to the State Police, an AB.412 belonging to the Vigili del Fuoco (the national firefighting corps) and and AB.412 belonging to the Guardia di Finanza (a militarized police corps which, unlike the Carabinieri who report to the Minister of Defence, reports to the Minister of Economy and is tasked with fighting "economy-related" crimes ranging from tax evasion to drug smuggling).
The aircraft were based on Boscomantico airport, Verona's general aviation airport and former US Army base. They carried ground teams of the National Mountain Rescue Corps and they were coordinated by the Italian Air Force.

3 further helicopters were scheduled to be taking part to the exercise (an Air Force HH-139, an Italian Army AB.205 and a Carabinieri AB.412), but their participation was cancelled at the last minute.
