Re: Chengdu , China
How the hell did you pull that off? Surely that’s risking arrest?
Re: Chengdu , China
did ok since there is bunch of spotters outside .... Althought I go lw key by hiding my big lens and only take it out when the jets are out..
I miss the J20 test flight by a day! kind of sucks!
DId get to teh chopper base and rows and rows of Attack Z-10 and MI8 on the tarmac! did not get to shoot since a lot of mil personnel walk around the fence

Re: Chengdu , China
As Andy said, very risky indeed.
Nicely caught, wouldn't recommend doing it again though..

Re: Chengdu , China
Actually not as bad since this is an aircraft factory kind of like Lockheed martin... bunch of people hang around the fence... and in the vicinity there is bunch of local restaurant that would setup for the aviation seekers.... anyway they are setup on the other side of the runway!
On the highway you can see them coming in to land really good....

I'll be in Chengdu in April and would be grateful if you could give guidance to location of the airfield and spotting sites. Wife can see the pandas and I can watch the jets!
