Araxos had a small static display consisting two F-16s in the accessible hangar with a further two outside, plus an F-104 and A-7 which are preserved on base. The F-104 had recently been repainted and they were still applying the markings when I arrived. A couple of F-16s were circuit bashing for a while but frustratingly landed just before I got to a spot near the end of the runway.

SX_AF_6639_F104_P_LGRX_20191107_1S by Ralph Lunt Photography, on FlickrAndravida was a "must" for me due to the imminent demise of the F-4s, but the visit was disappointing in that there was only one on external display (and open to the coach-loads of schoolkids) although there were more plus a visiting F-16 from Araxos and a Tanagra based Mirage 2000 in the hangar display. An F-4 taxied for departure some distance away but only a couple of shots were taken before the "no photos" rule was enforced as it lined up.
