Do you class these 2 aircraft that are appearing at riat, C-27 as a heavy and what type do you class the osprey as is it a helicopter or not?

The C-27 is a military transport aircraft so even though it's maximum take off weight is c. 28 tonnes I would 'heavy'.
The V-22 Osprey is classed as a 'tiltrotor' so in a category of it's own which is separate from helicopters IMHO.

The C-27 is ICAO wake turbulence category medium, so I'd consider it a medium sized transport.
The V-22 is a fixed wing aircraft that can take off and land vertically due to its "tilt rotor" system.
