Omani AF Hawk gas 'n go Prestwick
Omani AF Hawk gas 'n go Prestwick
Hi, Omani Hawk 105, call sign Majan 62, arrived from Keflavik at 1117, refuelled and departed south. Weather absolutely abysmal for such a rare visitor. Didn't bother to wait for the late afternoon USAF C130's and C17 visitors.
Taxying for runway 31 take off.
Takeoff run on a rain soaked runway 31.
Thanks for looking. eng3

Intriguing, appears to be an ex-NFTC jet. I can imagine NFTC wanting to be parted of these. Great catch!!!
Do you want the Aladeen news or the Aladeen news?

Nice catch.

Nice catch there. Shame about the weather. I wonder why the Canadians are getting rid of them?

Re: Omani AF Hawk gas 'n go Prestwick
Nice catch, as I don't think it will stay black for long, when it gets to Oman

The NFTC Hawks are actually dark blue, and the United Arab Emirates, including Oman, are participants in the NFTC, so that probably explains the colour scheme. The training programme is flat out all the time and all aircraft are in use as much as possible. Possibly the Omani's have been using their own aircraft to boost the number available for flying. Regards, Paul.
