If your claim is correct like the F-22, are we to expect a fly-through or will it operate from Fairford?

Being as its requested for flypasts at Farnborough, there is a high chance of a deployment.

This is fast becoming the best RIAT for 5 years.

Great news, this is one aircraft that I have wanted to see for quite a while that I haven't seen yet.

I remember many a year ago seeing it at the Mildenhall Air fete, quite a sight for the very limited amount of time we got to see it. For a country that are supposedly cutting back on their military and commitments abroad, the Americans seem to be sending a great support to this years show if this comes to fruition. I would imagine they would be sending the usual static items also.

I'll take this message meaning it'll do it's usual visit in the form of a "Power Projection Flight" and that it will NOT be touching down in FFD, as usual. However if it DOES touch down in FFD then YEEEHAAA :yahoo:

SO I'm just expecting it's usual visit.

Thanks for the heads-up, great news!

(I notice from the replies that your credibility rating has improved a fair bit, well done! )

I'll believe the B-2 when I see it, we haven't had one for six years after all.

"b2 fly by and land" - should that happen, perhaps it'll only stay on the ground for an hour or so and do a crew change, then depart, like at RIAT 1997?

There are B-2 fly-by's requested for Farnborough.

Perhaps this is a Sunday only participant... arrive, fly-by then land ready for the sorties during the week.

Don't want to sound like a spoil sport but it seems like an awful lot of people are ready to accept whatever they want to hear in terms of rumours this year. OK badgernelms may have known about the F-22's but does that mean he knows about every aircraft that may interest UK aircraft enthusiasts and whether or not they will attend. Not saying badgernelms is delibarately misleading us but personally i would wait till RIAT or other formal aviation websites (such as GAR and Flightline UK) to start getting you hopes up.

I do prefer the good old days when you had a few scraps of A4 paper. And suspense on the day.
