Bucking Bronco and Terrible Texan, Air-to-Air **Updated**
Evening all,
Here's a quick taster of what I was up to during the weekend over at the Belgian airfield of Zoersel, my first ever air-to-air! Hope you enjoy, more to come later...
My sincere thanks go out to everyone who made the academy possible, first and foremost Eric Coeckelberghs for making his idea happen as well as the sponsors Invicta Aviation Ltd!
Cheers, Huw

Lovely shot Huw, looking forward to seeing the rest. That's one of the things that I'd absolutely love to do, especially if it's one of the trips before the Sanicole show!

Very nice, Huw. What a great experience to shoot air-to-air from a Skyvan ramp!

Re: Bucking Bronco and Terrible Texan, Air-to-Air Academy 2010
As promised here is an update with some more of the air-to-air photos taken during the weekend.
The Speed Canard is a rather odd looking bird at first glance, but after havint it as my first air-to-air subject and getting a backseat ride later in the day I really rather like it now.
The Tipsy Nipper pilots were having a lot of fun posing for the Skyvan during the flights, that really rubbed off and indeed I enjoyed photographing them more than any of the other aircraft.
This shot of a Stampe has to have the best backdrop of all of the aircraft, flying over a large area of unspoilt Belgian forest.
And to finish two quick photos from my backseat ride in the Speed Canard later in the day, it's really agile!
Its fair to say when we formated on the Texan for a low and fast pass down the runway I got rather excited
I took so many photos over the weekend so keep checking my Flickr page as I upload more.
Cheers, Huw

What a superb set
I have looked at the web site and would love to go to the next event!! If you don;t mind me asking how much did the whole weekend cost so I can start saving the pennies (no prices on the web site )
best regards
Cliff

It's always nice to be 'something' Now Huw was the youngest guestphotographer in our first Academy, so I got him an extra ride in the backseat of the Speed Canard. The aircraft was scheduled to pose behind the Skyvan, but what Huw did not know is that we organised the Speed canard as a secondary photoship, flying formation with a number of other aircraft.
So if you want to be the youngest in 2011, try to be under 18
